Dear Friends & Associates,
Thank you for your warm welcome. I am thrilled to be a part of the Navigos Search and hope we can add value to one another for the years to come. As many of you know, I recently joined Navigos Search as the new Regional Director and am thrilled to provide continuous legendary customer service to you and help achieve your professional dreams.
My colleagues and friends often ask me where do I get such energy from? How can you keep inspired and motivated all of the time? Where do you find the time to balance your life? How do you organize your time with so many urgent things & tasks? My answer is simply that I put all my heart into everything I do. This can also be defined as passion… Passion for the things which are important to me.
Acclaimed author and inspirational guru, Stephen R. Covey, put it best this way:
“Proactive people can carry their own weather with them. Whether it rains or shines makes no difference to them. They are value driven; and if their value is to produce good quality work, it isn’t a function of whether the weather is conducive to it or not” (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People).
Sometimes in life, whether it is at work or personal, we face challenges that are beyond our control. We are affected by policies, the markets or other external factors which are beyond our influence. These challenges may deeply impact us for the good or for the worse. However, it is during these moments, these struggles, these opportunities which will test our ability to grow and rise to new levels & achievements. Focusing on what truly matters to us, the important values and principles will no doubt play into the health & balance of our lives.
Here are some quick tips to stay focused and motivated:
- Be positive. Having a strong sense of awareness will always set you a part. Infuse positivity to those around you; your teams, your colleagues and those who are important to you. Sharing your positive energy will pay dividends and people will notice. Your influence will grow and also opportunities in your career.
- Contribute. Contributions in work and deed add tremendous health benefits and value to yourself and to your community. Set aside specific time to volunteer with friends, family or workmates. Your personal and professional relationships will mature as well as the benefits of doing a good deed.
- Improve every day. This is a good time for you to take a break and invest in your personal development. Take part in training courses both internally and externally to develop your knowledge and your skills. Reading extensively is also a tremendous way to expand your interests and awareness.
Your quality of life is largely dependent on attitude. Create your own weather each day, find ways and opportunities to constantly grow, learn and evolve. And by aligning your passions to what truly is important to you, you will begin the journey to a work-life balance.
Best of luck,
Cheers,
Johnny Park
